How many times do I have to say it?
If you have said that this week — this page is for you.
The RISE Method is a practical parenting program for parents and carers of children aged 2–18. It replaces the repeating, the threatening and the shouting with something that actually works: exact words to say and exact actions to take, in the exact moments that are currently going wrong in your home.

Book a Free ConversationYou will recognise these moments.
- You asked your 9-year-old to switch off the TV. Four times. The fifth time, you will be shouting — and the TV will still be on.
- Your 3-year-old is on the supermarket floor, screaming, and every pair of eyes in the aisle is on you.
- Your 14-year-old comes home, grunts, and disappears behind a closed door. You cannot remember your last real conversation.
- The house is finally quiet, and now comes the 9pm replay: the way you shouted, the look on their face, the promise you made yourself that you would never sound like that.
Here is the truth nobody says out loud: you do not have a bad child, and you are not a bad parent. You are running your home on tools that were never designed to work — because nobody ever handed you better ones.
What The RISE Method Is
A complete system. Not another list of tips.
The RISE Method is Rise2Parent's signature family program — built on behavioural science, child psychology and the lived reality of raising real children in real homes. It moves a parent through four pillars, in the order that actually works:
- RELATE — connection before correction. Children accept influence from people they feel connected to. Rebuild that connection in fifteen minutes a week — even with a teenager behind a closed door.
- INTERPRET — every behaviour is a message. Decode what your child's most maddening behaviour is actually asking for, using the program's signature Four Cries tool — and respond to the need instead of punishing the noise.
- STEADY STRUCTURE — discipline that teaches. Give an instruction once and follow through calmly. Routines that end the daily battles at the source. Consequences that make a child wiser, not just angrier.
- EQUIP — words that work, and a child who can. The sentences that replace the lecture. The listening that opens a closed child. The training that builds a capable, responsible young adult.
And beneath all four sits the foundation: the steady parent. Because no tool works in the hands of a parent at boiling point — so the very first session is about you, not them.
Here is a tool you can use tonight — free.
The 60-Second Reset
The next time you feel your temper rising — before you speak — stop, breathe out slowly (longer out than in), drop your shoulders, and say:
“I am too angry to handle this well right now. I am going to get a glass of water. We will talk in five minutes.”
Then actually walk away. Five minutes is not weakness — it is the strongest move in the room.
That is one tool. The program contains more than thirty — each one with the exact words, rehearsed before you ever need them.
The Program At A Glance
Six sessions. Twenty-plus focused modules. Every format.
The foundational program runs across six sessions — live, in person or online — each one ending with exact words to use and one specific thing to do at home that week:
- Steady Ground — what happens in your brain when you 'lose it', the 60-Second Reset, and the repair conversation that rebuilds trust.
- Relate — the fifteen-minute weekly tool that rebuilds connection, including the version for teenagers that needs almost no words at all.
- Interpret — the Four Cries: decode what the behaviour is really asking for, and stop fighting battles that are just development.
- Steady Structure — one instruction, said once, followed through calmly. Routines that give the orders so you stop being the enforcer.
- Equip With Words — the replacement sentences for the five phrases you use daily that have stopped working.
- Equip For Life — real responsibility, safe mistakes, and the twenty-minute weekly Family Meeting that keeps everything running.
Beyond the core sits a growing library of 20+ focused modules — each solving one named problem: When Your Child Won't Listen · Tantrums & Public Meltdowns · Device Boundaries Without World War Three · The Withdrawing Teen · Sibling Rivalry · When Parents Disagree · Bedtime & Morning Battles · and more. Your group, school or organisation chooses exactly what its families need.
